FOR CARE PARTNERS
Training that helps care partners actually know what to do.
Practical education for the people — individuals and organizations alike – supporting the health of others.
Caring for someone with a chronic illness, neurological condition, or disability comes with real responsibility and often very little practical training. Breakthrough Speech brings clinical, evidence-based expertise to care partner education — covering topics most people wouldn’t think to bring to a speech-language pathologist, like fatigue management and swallow safety.

COMMUNITY PRESENTATION
Overview Sessions
Introductory sessions (typically 60 or 90 minutes), ideal for community centers, senior centers, and support groups. A general overview designed to build awareness and give people a few usable tools right away.
CARE PARTNER WORKSHOP
Topic-Focused Workshop Sessions
60–90 minutes per topic, designed for established care partner groups, caregiver support networks, and community groups ready to go deeper than an overview. Each session focuses on one topic — fatigue management, swallow safety, cognitive-communication changes, or speech and communication changes — with time for questions, discussion, and hands-on practice of real strategies. Can be delivered as a standalone session or as a series.
IN-DEPTH TRAINING
Organizational Training
Extended sessions built for facilities, agencies, and organizations — customized to your team’s specific needs, with more time for skill-building and discussion.
WHY BREAKTHROUGH SPEECH
Clinical expertise, not generic caregiver content.
Most caregiver training covers logistics, physical safety, and emotional support — valuable, but incomplete. I have 13+ years of SLP experience, including 5+ years in private practice. This program adds a unique clinical piece: practical, evidence-based strategies for specific challenges around communication, cognition, fatigue, and swallowing, taught by someone who treats these conditions every day.
